Trying to track the root cause of a slow running window or process?Ī question I often hear from all kinds of Toad® for Oracle users, from DBAs to developers, is: “How do you find out what queries Toad runs to populate its windows and menus?” ![]() Some high-end models will come w/ 24 GB or even 32 GB RAM. Even if a large laptop doesn’t come with an additional HDD, there’s a good chance that you can upgrade it.ĩ9% of laptops with a recommended Intel i7 processor and Nvidia graphics card will have at least 16 GB DDR4 memory. Larger laptops (15.6″ – 17.3″) often come with multiple storage slots, especially when modern PCIe SSDs don’t occupy drive bays. These are a lot cheaper than Solid State Drives. Though, I recommend getting 256 GB to fit any additional software and leave some overhead for downloads and personal files.Īnyone who wants a larger drive will need to get either a 512 GB SSD or aa bonus HDD drive. That translates to at least 128 GB SSD drive. You’d need at least 30 GB of free file storage space to install and run Lumion. Storage requirements aren’t particularly high. Long story short, G-Sync is a one-way ticket to short battery life. Since G-Sync is incompatible with Nvidia Optimus, it will result in your powerful GPU sucking juices out of your battery even if you’re just browsing the internet. It is a neat feature for gamers but it is entirely useless for professionals. So GTX 1080 Max-Q will be more power-efficient but slighly slower than a regular GTX 1080.Īlso, if you can, buy a laptop without G-Sync. These are slightly underclocked chips that consume less power and produce less heat. Max-Q graphics are recommended if you want at least 4 hours of battery life. Out of these cards, only GTX 1080 (with Max-Q and w/o) and P5000 are suitable for extremely complex Lumion 8 scenes. Out of all Nvidia cards, only these are recommended for complex environments (with the best being at the top): It can be found even in budget laptops costing ~$700.įor acceptable performance you’ll need Nvidia’s 10th generation GTX graphics: 1060, 10. That is just where Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M lands. If you want a laptop satisfying minimum requirements for simple scenes in Lumion, you’ll need a GPU with at least 2,000 PassMark points in videocard benchmarks. It boils down video card’s ability to render visuals to a single number which is called PassMark G3D Mark. Graphics card performance can be measured in various tests designed to benchmark the overall performance of any particular GPU. Also, laptops with desktop processors are likely to experience performance throttling due to limited cooling in a laptop chassis. There are a few laptops that come with desktop processors such as i7-7700K but then you can forget about the battery life. Laptop processors fall behind desktop counterparts and only the best mobile CPUs are suitable for Lumion. Processor is most likely to be the bottleneck in a laptop for Lumion. Here are requirements for Lumion 8.5 (as of 2018 September). With recent improvements with Nvidia’s 10th generation graphics, I can finally recommend some laptops for Lumion. Of course, even the best laptops can’t match top shelf desktop hardware but it can get surprisingly close. A few years ago there hardly was any hardware capable of running Lumion at a desktop level. The new additions bring the total number of library assets in the Lumion 12 Pro content library to 6,903*.When it comes to hardware requirements, Lumion is one of the few suites of software that will demand the very best.

The outward appearance and esthetics of the handgun does not change much the RTF2 checkering texture on the pistol grip changes to a less aggressive pattern, called RTF3. The Gen 4 pistol introduces many new groundbreaking features. In 2010, the real Glock Gen 4 model was presented, with the Austrian manufacturer acknowledging the, up to then, unofficial Generation naming custom to the point of actually engraving it on the side of the handgun’s slide next to the model number. The magazines now featured a metallic “skeleton” over which the polymer was molded, significantly improving feeding the barrel wall thickness was increased, the main recoil spring and guiding rod were assembled together in a “captive” configuration and the rear slide guide length was increased. It is designed for 5mA current and has an input resistance of 67 ohms. You have far too much current flowing through the Hall sensor. I attached another document with limited info on the HHP-SU 696 Hall Sensor. I assume it would be easier to just develop my own filter and keep all the code in Arduino. ![]() I was considering using something like the Matlab function “iirnotch”. How would I determine the frequency to use a low pass notch filter (I assume this would be around 15 Hz?) So maybe it is electromagnetic field causing the background noise (I am in a mechatronics lab)? I thought magnetic field doesn’t have a frequency. The Hall sensor is reading magnetic field and returning an analog value. I am having difficulty understanding this. I was advised to use a notch filter to handle the background “noise” in the lab. I am not sure how I would do this with a digital hall sensor. My current approach is to sense a Gauss value that is in between the South pole and the North pole by using an analog sensor in addition to more conditional statements to determine if a change in position has occurred. I have been directed to use this sensor for my project due to small size, high sensitivity and large range requirements so unfortunately I cannot use a different one unless absolutely necessary.Įven better, if you are just trying to sense the bipolar magnetic strip going past, use a digital Hall switch such as US1881. PS - it sounds to me that you have a raw Hall sensor, and you will need a precision amplifier before you can use it with an Arduino. It is from the Arduino Mega 5 supply to analog pin A0. How have you connected the Hall sensor to the Arduino? Int breakCount = 1 // used to determine how many samples to calibrate over Int index = 0 // the index of the current reading Int readings // the readings from the analog input use this value to determine the size of the readings array. Using a constant rather than a normal variable lets the more the readings will be smoothed, but the slower the output will Define the number of samples to keep track of. If I forgot to add any necessary details please let me know. Question: How do I accurately scale down the analog to gauss conversion factor? See “analog_to_Gauss” for my conversion calculations. ![]() Because the Hall sensor’s extreme sensitivity (29.2 ) one jump in analog value is a far too large jump in Gauss because the poles on the magnetic strip I am working with are approx 150 to 200 Gauss and -150 to -200 Gauss.
